Importance and Usage of Cabbage

Usage :
  • Raw cabbage can be used in the salad's
  • It can also be taken in the juice format.It's medicinal benefit can be acquired only when taken in juice-form.
  • Make Cabbage Soup and have it on regular basis which helps to reduce weight.

Benefits: Cabbage is found very effective in curing the indigestion ,anemia and obesity problems.

Cabbage Soup Recipe:

Ingredients
  • 1/2 Medium head cabbage
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 Medium Tomato
  • 5 Cups of Water
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • Onion and coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Pepper and salt for taste as desired

Preparation

  • In a large cooking pan add 2 spoons of oil add chopped onion,garlic .Once it turns to brown colour add chopped tomato and saute for 5 mins.
  • Add chopped cabbage saute for 2 mins and add Water.
  • Allow it to boil for 5-10 mins in Low heat.
  • Add Coriander leavers,chooped Onion leaves and some more pepper before serving.

If you want more spicy soup add 1/2 tsp of Red Chilli powder in the mixture before adding water. You can also add vineger and chilli suace if desired.
